Version 2.35e 4-03-08
This version incorporates a major test engine enhancement, plus additional bug fixes for DDR2 and DDR1 adapters. It also supports the new high volume adapter for 200-pin DDR2 SO-DIMM modules.

This version incorporates several reported bug fixes for DDR2 and DDR1 adapters. Please note that this and future version should use the RAMCHECK PC Communications program version 2.18.

This firmware version requires the new RAMCHECK PC Communications program version 2.18 which can be downloaded from here.
This version incorporates many changes to improve the integration of RAMCHECK and the PC communications. It now allows you to store setup for both DDR1, DDR2 (and other devices) simulataneously on RAMCHECK. New measurements detect and alert for resistive load on the REF line.
Version 2.32e 3-08-07
This version allows RAMCHECK to automatically select the highest frequency of a DDR2 module with the appropriate CL setting. Additional improvements have been added for DDR2 and DDR1 support. We have added an an optional automatic termination setup for Auto-Loop test for all devices. When activated (setup->test flow->edit test->Auto-Loop), the Auto-Loop test terminates at the setup loop number. Recall that by default, Auto-Loop continues forever, until the user terminates.The Production Mode, which is used by memory manufacturers to automate the programming and verification of the SPD, has been expanded in this version. It is now includes the following sub modes: "program + verify", "verify only" and "match to master". Please review the revised Application Note APN25 for more details.

This version includes our first support for the new DDR2 200-pin SODIMM converter. Various improvements have been added for DDR2 and DDR1 support. Activation code support is implemented for customers wishing to upgrade RAMCHECK Base tester for 168-pin SDRAM support.Version 2.30e 11-22-06
This version adds a new detailed Mode test within the Extensive Test for the new DDR2 adapter. The Mode test is described in the on-line manual addendum for the DDR2 adapter. We have corrected several bugs and added various features. Missing DQ bits are now reported with the DDR PRO at the start of the test with the new missing bits function. This version provides first support for Extensive Test and Auto-Loop for the new DDR PRO adapter for testing PC466/433/400 high speed modules. Please refer to the online Manual Addendum.We have also released a new version of the PC Communications program to support the DDR PRO. This PC program is available for download here.
Version 2.24 also introduces the new internal Kernel #7 which supports larger size downloads. The new Kernel automatically replaces the previous one after firmware download.
NOTE: If you have not upgraded your RAMCHECK's firmware since version 2.17 of October 2003, you must first download an intermediate version 2.23, as explained in the download page.
Version 2.23e 4-29-05
This version provides additional initial support for the Basic Test of the new DDR PRO adapter for testing PC466/433/400 high speed modules. A new Manual Addendum for the DDR PRO is now available on-line.Please note that the Extensive Test and Auto-Loop tests for the DDR PRO will be released in few weeks. Currently only the Basic Test is activated.

This version provides initial support for the new DDR PRO adapter for testing PC466/433/400 high speed modules.Support large size DDR modules (4GB) on both the new DDR PRO and the older DDR adapter. It also contains additional program enhancements.

This version adds "Bank Bits Detection" data to the Test Log when testing DDR or SDRAM modules. This data is intended to assist technicians that use the RAMCHECK to repair modules. This version adds the following features and support:- The new RAMCHECK 200-pin DIMM adapter for the x144 EDO/FPM Sun memory modules is now fully supported. We have implemented an advanced error reporter which provides better error identification than our previous SIMCHECK 200-pin adapter.
- Quick Basic is now fully supported for all DDR, SDRAM or legacy EDO/FPM modules. Users can now skip the long test results screens after Quick Basic using the Testflow Setup. Please review application note INN-8668-APN12: RAMCHECK Quick Basic Test.
- A new stand-alone quick byte editor now allows users of the SPD support to change and program SPD data without the need to use the PC Communications program.
- We have enhanced the locking algorithm that supports DDR modules.
- Setup Parameters now allows you to set the test for Registered or Unbuffered modules.
- Added improved support for various large size DDR and SDRAM modules.

Version 2.14e 4-14-03
It includes improved support for 333MHz at actual clock speed. The 333MHz tests work on all DDR adapters manufactured after November 30, 2002. Previously manufactured adapters still run at 266MHz (300MHz max) even with this version of the firmware.
An affordable factory upgrade for previously manufactured adapters is now available for PC333 DDR testing. Click here for more information.
Firmware download now requires login, using a password.
Version 2.13e 1-10-03
This Version includes several test improvements for both SDRAM and DDR devices.
In particular, this Version is the first to support true clock testing of DDR at 333MHz for DDR adapters manufactured after November 30th, 2002. Previously purchased DDR adapters were limited to 300MHz, and need a newly available factory hardware upgrade in order to reach 333MHz speed. Of course, this new Version still works with the older DDR adapters, although at the 266MHz/300MHz level only.

This Version provides first DDR Extensive Test and DDR Auto-Loop. DDR testing now follows the regular RAMCHECK test flow of Basic Test -> Extensive Test ->Auto-Loop.
The SDRAM Auto-Loop test was improved to eliminate some intermittent failures with large modules.

DDR tests - Numerous enhancements have been made to the DDR tests:
- Basic Test is now divided into two main tests, first at CL=2 followed by CL=2.5
- New optimized block test now able to test each memory location at faster test times.
- Change-on-the-fly (pressing F2 during BASIC TEST) is now activated, although it is currently limited to 266MHz.
- Fixed an address error bug with certain 16Mx64 DDR modules using 4x2Mx16 chips.
- Note: this is probably the last version WITHOUT Extensive Test for DDR. We are now preparing Extensive Test for our next version release. Please click the following link to review the DDR adapter Manual Addendum.
SDRAM tests - improved Tac measurement routines with some additional tests. Automatically disable Page Burst for 133MHz modules with two banks.
Production Mode - added verification feature for the automatic SPD programming. Test will now explicitly stop if SPD programming failed.

More support for the new DDR 184-pin adapter. As continuous development of DDR support occurs daily, we will soon release a newer version 2.11e on our Beta Programs page for users of the DDR 184-pin adapter.

Removed a confusing INITIAL SPEED message at the start of Basic Test for SDRAM modules. Such initial speed message is relevant only for EDO/FPM modules.
Bugs Fix:
- Fixed Test Log final speed message when terminating 133MHz modules during Auto Loop.
- Fixed DUT SETUP for all RAMCHECK adapters.
- Fixed EDO identification bug that caused wrong "some edo detected" message.
- Fixed identification of ECC modules.
- Improved March UP/DOWN routine for REGISTERED SDRAM modules.
- Fixed test table error with 128MB EDO/FPM BUFFERED modules.
SIMCHECK II Development Log is also relevant for RAMCHECK
Since RAMCHECK is built over the SIMCHECK II original firmware, many issues which were improved for SIMCHECK II are applicable to RAMCHECK. Therefore, you may want to review the extensive SIMCHECK II Development Log.
